Important! Mandatory!!!
Before first use, you must season the pan properly.
Turn on the extractor hood and open a window.
On a gas stove:
Place the pan on maximum heat for 10–15 minutes until the smoke disappears.
Induction can be tricky — the hob may switch off automatically.
The best method is the oven:
Preheat to 250 °C (480 °F) and bake for 40 minutes.
There will be a lot of smoke — the pan will develop spots and grey marks; this is normal.
Afterwards, remove it, let it cool, and wash gently with mild detergent.
Place it back on the stove for a few minutes to evaporate any water (be careful not to burn yourself).
Add a small piece of margarine, lard, or butter.
Once melted, rub it evenly across the entire surface using gauze or paper towel to ensure all areas are covered.
Don’t forget the outside of the pan!
Apply a very thin layer without puddles.
Make sure no fibers or paper residues remain.
Put it back in the oven:
At 250 °C (480 °F) for 1 hour.
There will be smoke and smell again — but the result is worth it!
The pan will turn black and matte with a smooth finish.
